El Patron is exactly what its name promises — the scent of a man in command. The grapefruit and saffron opening is sharp and confident, and as it dries down into that creamy sandalwood and musk base, it feels like a warm handshake from someone you respect. I wore it to a business dinner and got two compliments before the appetizers arrived. This is now my boardroom signature.

Beautifully crafted scent. The leather note in the base is one of the best I have smelled in any fragrance under 1000 dirhams. Smoky, soft, and slightly sweet from the oud. Four stars only because the projection in the first hour is more intense than I prefer for office wear. Perfect for evenings out.

Real, refined oud done with a European hand — that is what Don Alejandro feels like. It opens beautifully with bergamot and saffron, but the magic happens in the dry-down where the oud and incense create this warm, smoky aura. It is mysterious without being dark. My wife and I share Plomo and I have never said that about a fragrance before. On her, the jasmine and violet come forward and it smells romantic and feminine. On me, the leather and oud dominate and it smells masculine and serious. Same bottle, two completely different fragrances. A masterpiece of unisex perfumery.

Strong, masculine, and unmistakable. The opening is a little intense for the first 15 minutes — be careful with the sprays — but once it settles down, it becomes this beautiful warm musk that lasts the whole day. I take off one star only because I wish it came in a 200ml bottle.

Plata is sweet but in a sophisticated way — not a teenager's body spray, but a woman who knows exactly what she is doing. Sillage is excellent and longevity is around 10 hours on me.
